WWPL WALKING CLUB

Back for session 2 by popular demand! Every Monday morning beginning July 12 through August 30 (excluding Monday, August 9 for holiday), join library staff members as we walk the town bike path. We're now back in-person for Senior Tech! Are you an older adult looking for tech help and/or a social group of friends looking to enjoy each others' company and learn new technologies? Then this is the club for you! Join us every Thursday morning to receive tech assistance from staff or stay awhile and socialize with a fantastic group of patrons!

FREE YOUTH LUNCHES ALL SUMMER

Every Monday - Friday, June 28 - August 20 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Kids and teens can score a FREE lunch at the library every week day starting at 12:00 PM noon with last call at 1:00 PM. No questions asked - just show up, nab a lunch, and feel free to either take it with you or sit outside in our courtyard picnic areas. Lunches all come with varying main courses, a vegetable side, a fruit side, snacks, and a drink.

POP-UP FARMERS MARKET

Friday, August 6 @ 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
A pop-up Farmers Market will take place outside of the library on Friday, August 6. Pick up fresh produce and reads all at once - in one location! Games will be available on the library lawn for families to play as well. Plus, be sure to join every Wednesday at the Arctic Village Gazebo Farmers Market from July 7 - October 27.

RPG MINI PAINTING

Friday, August 13 & 27 @ 2:00 - 4:00 PM in the Nash Room
RPG miniatures are small models used for characters in games like Dungeons & Dragons. Participants will receive one medium character mini for their own, and pay paint additional minis for the library collection. Paints, brushes, and help will be provided, but you may bring your own supplies! Space is limited so call (401) 828-3750 x 103 or email amber@wwpl.org to register.

FIGHT PERIOD POVERTY

We partnered with the HEZ and Thundermist Health to provide FREE, reusable menstrual cups and cloth pads. Patrons can pick up a discrete kit at Information Services. All sizes are available and can be picked up by all who menstruate or care for someone who does. Contact amber@wwpl.org for more info!

The library will be CLOSED Monday, August 9 in observance of Victory Day.

We will reopen normal hours on Tuesday, August 10.

FULL COMPUTER ACCESS

Computer access is back to normal (almost)! You no longer need an appointment and may sit at any available PC for 1 hour at a time. Additional time may be allowed if there is no wait list.
In addition, newer computers have been installed and more areas have opened up for use.

MEET OUR NEW MASCOT

Meet Nutmeg, West Warwick Public Library's new mascot and connoisseur of books (and bugs)!

Nutmeg is a blizzard gecko and her name was chosen via a library contest in June 2021.

Visit her in the Youth Department!
