What is it?
This is an opportunity that includes15-weeks of intensive workshops taught by authors and industry professionals for MENA (Middle Eastern/ North African descent) early Career writers who are interested in being published. We will show you step by step how to write, edit, and polish your piece to professional standards and pursue the publication process. This program will conclude in the publication of an anthology of the participant's work and book launch celebration.
We will be meeting virtually twice a week for 15 weeks, and additional writing and work will need to be done between meetings.
How Do I apply?
Due to limited space in the program, we ask that all interested MENA Writers ages 16+ fill out an application. We are looking for people who are passionate about creative writing and are interested in learning about how to turn this into a career. The Fellowship is a commitment of 15 weeks twice a week for 1.5 hours with four sessions in May/June that are 2 hours, and additional self-paced writing, reading, and other work between meetings. If you are not able to meet these requirements and commitments you will not be eligible to participate.
