Homebound Delivery Service
Can't come to the library?
Let us bring the library to you!
The Homebound Services Program is a way for the library to serve those who can't visit the library on their own. Whether you live in an assisted living facility or are homebound due to a temporary or permanent disability, our program enables you to enjoy most library materials without leaving home!
WWPL's Homebound Delivery Service may be right for you if you have a valid library card, live in West Warwick, and are unable to regularly visit the library on your own.
To sign up, reach out to our Homebound Services Coordinator at
401-828-3750 ext. 5 or email info@wwpl.org.
How does it work?
-
The Homebound Services Coordinator will meet with you to find out what you would be interested in checking out from the library.
-
Every 3 weeks, new materials are delivered to you and previous materials are picked up for return. Materials may also be renewed if they are not on hold for another patron.
-
The Homebound Services Coordinator maintains a borrowing history for you to prevent repeats, and can make recommendations based on your interests.
What materials can I get?
-
Books, including fiction, nonfiction, large print, audiobooks on CD, new releases, and bestsellers
-
Movies & TV shows on DVD and Blu-Ray with 3 week loan periods
-
Music CDs
-
Magazines excluding the current issue
-
And more! Reach out to our Homebound Services Coordinator for more information.
